I got this tablet at a great price during a Black Friday sale on Amazon, but I see now why these needed to be unloaded. After the initial setup, basic things like Chrome and the keyboard froze and crashed so much that there wasn't any use for the whole tablet. Dell's phone support rep had me do a factory reset, but the problems persisted. Dell's Twitter support reps had me send the tablet in for repairs, and while that process was easy, I got it back to find the same slowness. More Twitter support chatting led to a rep trying to get me to plug an Ethernet cable into the tablet (???) before telling me to do yet another factory reset, which again failed to fix anything. Apparently this is a widespread problem, clearly something Dell is not addressing, so therefore I am returning it and recommending that others look elsewhere for a tablet that works.

It's a nice affordable tablet, the design and function is suitable.My purchase experience with Amazon was great and I would have given it 4 stars, but Dell support fails in the customer support area.

During the setup, the device automatically registered the device with my Google account, so I tried to access the Dell.com sight to add the rest of my registration info (full name, address, etc.), to my surprise, it required a password.During the device setup, the user is never prompted to create a password.When I tried to reset the password, it didn't recognize the email address it was registered with.

Calling Dell support resulted in a 30 minute cycle of phone transfers and asking me for my Dell order number, explaining that I ordered it through Amazon, I had to send them a copy of the purchase.The email reply indicated that I would have to 'reset' the password, I replied back that I was unable, their final reply was an apology with no resolution.

So, I am the proud owner of a pretty cool tablet, with a company that has less than standard customer support.I sure miss the days of U.S. based call centers!How simple can it be to pull the service tag a customer supplies, update the registration and reset a password for them!

However Dell has not updated the operating system past 4.4.4. Just pass on this one. This tablet is really underpowered. Even out of the box you will have difficulty browsing the internet or watching youtube videos.On average of the 1GB of ram installed the OS is using well over 75% of that to just turn it on and keep the device running without adding the strain of opening apps.I even saw slow downs without using a live background or widgets. This device just doesn't manage its ram very well. I have seen other tablets with only 1GB of ram perform much better than this one.

This one got sent back. Really wanted to like it though because of its nice screen and price but if you can't use it its not a bargain.

I bought this tablet because I had a tablet which was a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7 inch, and it was perfect but I had to share it with my little nephew because his was a cheap tablet that broke, I felt sorry for him and gave him mine so he would not have that problem again( and he thanked me & love it)!! Anyways I thought that since I have a HP 15.6 laptop I didn't need another expensive tablet and just get something cheap but efficient. Wrong move!! I thought in the back of my mind this would be ok since my mom had a Dell PC and I use to have a Dell Mini laptop well I should have went with my gut instinct that told me" don't do it"!! I had sooo many problems with this Tablet, it froze all the time, it would not load my games, and on top of that it says it has Bluetooth but when I tried to connect my Beats wireless earphones it did not connect at all. Also I wasn't able to download most apps and games because it said device not compatible. I play a game called "Bingo Bash" and it's one of my fav and it would not download because it wasn't compatible which made me angry. Also I have a WWE App that I watch pay per views of wrestling every month and it wasn't compatible also. But what made me through with this junk was when I hook up my earphones it would make a loud beeping sound constantly no matter what I did!! I suggest to anyone invest in your money and buy a $200 dollar tablet like a Samsung Tab even a $100-200 will be great, the brand matters a lot as well most are good but known brands like Samsung etc are efficient long lasting. I am going to return this tablet and buy another Samsung tablet those tablets are worth every penny trust me I had one and will always get one of those!! Don't waist your time and money on this crap!!!

I bought this tablet through Amazon to be used primarily for video calls (Skype and Google Hangouts).Unfortunately both apps have an issue with the front facing camera exhibiting a super 'zoom-in' display.Even holding the tablet 3 feet from my face failed to enable the entire face from being displayed.I also confirmed that I had the latest version of the Android operating system (ver 4.4.4) and the latest version of the apps.This issue enders this tablet useless for my needs.I contacted Dell tech support and they confirmed this to be a known issue and indicated that Iwould need to wait for an app update to successfully to use those apps.I am returning the tablet to Amazon.Too bad, this was a nice tablet otherwise.

the good: screen resolution and brightness are very good.
the bad: the battery life, freezing and hang-ups during tasks and games are frequent.
my advice is to save your money to by a samsung tab pro or s series which i should have done. the intel everything is just second rate. device tends to freeze and the screen will show artifacts and the resolution will drop in and out. the okay part is is that the tablet screen is of a higher native resolution than the ematic tablet that i replaced this with. the battery however is not much better. the battery app that i use (battery doctor) shows the top mah as 1700 instead of 4550. however i'm going to assume this simply means the battery is multi-cell and it's being read as a single cell giving the rating. another issue is some apps like ez widgets will not download but that may be due to operating system limits.
If you want a work horse tablet get a samsung as stated above.
