I have been needing to replace my old Laptop for some time. I've waited until I really needed it for work, and needed to get one asap. After some searching, to really get the best deals, well, they're almost always online. I've found that for certain types of electronics, there is nothing wrong with refurbished. In fact, in many cases, the slightly older models are built with higher quality products, parts. And have fewer "bells and whistles" type features that can break easily. This Dell was / is surprisingly faster than I anticipated. It's not super heavy or bulky, it's great!! The built in speaker sound is loud enough that I can actually enjoy watching movies on it, or listening to music. The streaming is basically perfect! And the screen (the most important part for me) is large enough that I can sufficiently use this Laptop on the road for more complex software programs, for work. Eventually, I will want to upgrade and get a bigger screen, yada, yada. But this is just what I needed and I trust I will continue to enjoy having it around. I recommend!!

I bought this to connect to my television, since I have "cut the cord" from television service.The old, used, laptop that I had been using, finally died after 15 years of use exclusively for this purpose.I tried a chromebook,, briefly, but found that it was difficult to get to connect with the television, and research (sadly, after I'd already bought the chromebook) indicated that a lot of people had that very problem.This Dell laptop is really wonderful!It is as good as my "real" computer that I use for office work, graphics, etc.I will probably still only use it with the tv, but it would serve as my only computer, should my office computer finally die.It is well beyond what I expected.

For over a year now, I've been trying to figure out how to get a copy of the Microsoft game Chess Titans, since newer computers (newer than Microsoft 7) don't have the game on it. Then it occurred to me to just purchase an inexpensive laptop with the game so my father can use it. I wanted something affordable and durable. It's the perfect size. The screen's large enough for my father to see clearly, yet it's light enough for him to transport to play the game while traveling. Perfect Father's Day gift!

I definitely give my FIRST awesome laptop 5+ stars. Very happy w/ it. Arrived quickly and was packed very well in bubble wrap/foam peanuts by the seller 'Tech Recovery'. This Dell Laptop is very well built, rugged, fast, reliable, the battery is good and it had a good charger. The first laptop has Win 7 Pro installed. I highly recommend it and love this little Dell. (The L/T lasted almost a year and then there was an issue w/ a loose connection in the screen and now it will have to be repaired. Ireally miss this great little laptop.)

Unit was not ready for use. Upon firing up it requested to be updated. Update feature was not working. Seller offered a couple of fixes that did not work. Returned to seller. Biggest issue not is return shipping issue.
Refurbished should mean an item is ready to be put into service shortly upon receipt. This was not. Piece of crap in my opinion.......

First time I turned it on, it already gave me a message to replace the battery.It makes a loud, annoying buzzing sound when plugged in.Despite my wireless internet being very fast at my home with my work computer, this laptop takes about 2 minutes to load a simple website, and playing videos on Youtube for example is unbearable...wait five minutes to load, then it keeps stopping to re-buffer.It also keeps dropping the internet connection.It almost seems like there's a lingering virus on this laptop.Very disappointed ... won't buy from this company again.
