Unless you are going to use this laptop in very close proximity to your wi fi “equipment”, do NOT buy it. I did not pay attention to the comments by other reviewers regarding lost connections, and wish that I had. I can only use this laptop in my dining room next to my Comcast equipment. If I move anywhere else in my home, it doesn’t connect or works at an almost dead snails pace.With my previous laptop, and my tablet and phone, I do not experience this problem. This is my fourth Dell laptop, and will be my last. It’s too bad because this model has a lot of great bells and whistles that I was seeking, but the operation, or lack thereof, is so frustrating that I totally regret buyiing it.

 I purchased the Dell Inspiron i5447-6250sLV for my wife as a replacement for her aging and overworked Dell P 6100.There are several technicological advancements and differences between the two models.

The Dell i5447 has a touch screen, which often is far more efficient than the touch pad (which a large touch pad is also included)
Right and Left mouse keys are included below the touch pad to simplify CTRL-MOUSE functions.
1 Terabyte harddrive,
8gig a memory.This is important.Because although Windows 10 will “run” in as little as 2 gig or RAM, it is not a good experience.8gig of RAM will work Windows 10, Windows office, our browser and so any much more, more effectively and efficiently than we had before.

Dislikes.
Does not include a DVD/CD read/writer.Just Purchased an LG an on Amazon for $35. Will review it when it comes in
Opinion: A LOT a space and weight is WASTED on the oversized hand-rest and mouse-pad

HAve had this for about 3 months. I have reinstalled 3 times. redownloading all drivers and fixes. Microsoft Blue tooth mouse keeps losing connection. Not working right now again as I type this!!! Wireless loses connectivity for hours at a time. Reboots do not fix it. Finally comes back on its own.

Now August 4th after many hours with dell support dialed into my laptop the blue tooth is fixed but the wireless still goes out. Goes into ‘Resolving Host’ and I just have put the pc down and let it clear on its own. I was hoping Windows 10 would fix it but still happens. I have to switch to my IPAD until this pc clears up. Usually 10 or 15 minutes. Then generally works for what I need until I pick it up again the next day. There is nothing showing in task manager. Also it seems to work and resolves the first page or 2 then out to lunch the laptop goes. I should have retruned or exchanged within 30 days but I can generally fix things on pcs so I stuck with it. Then found Dell won’t do anything after 30 days even if they can’t fix it over the phone. They want to sell you a service plan. Dell’s lack of support for their products moves them to the bottom of my list.

Update 9/8.2015: Dell has sent me a return shipping box to send it in for repair of the WIFI. Will update again when I get the laptop back and see how it does. Saw other post about the mother board being replaced. Will let you all know.

Update 09/27/15 Received my dell back and still the same problem. After talking to support and a Supervisor they convinced me to let them log in again and work on the computer. Well back to square one. They replaced the wireless card but did not update anything. So there was an issue the driver was not up to date. So they did update it but to no avail. still the same problem!!! So they would like to dial back into the computer. I am about fed up with this Dell. It would not connect at all. So again I used my other laptop. For an hour I would pick it up as it normally connects after you let it sit for awhile. I finally took it next to the router then it connected. I am losing patience and want a refund or a different computer. Will update this after talking with Dell again tomorrow.
